Walks 2, 3 & 4 All travel North from the Hotel. Walk 2 travels the length of Sandpits lane towards the Cowden RAF base. Walk 3 diverts along Mill road to join Hornsea Road and Walk 4 cuts down through the fields to Lamwath stream.

They all begin (or end depending on which way round you walk and of course where you start!) at Sandpits lane

Sandpits is clearly marked and is an easy route to follow.

On the left is the Lamwath stream. This area is good for a variety of wildlife, including sparrow hawks, the occasional kingfisher and the odd squirrel.

Walks 3 & 4 Trun left at the footpath sign and walk 4 another left after about 50m back towards the stream.

The bridge that crosses Lamwath is unfortunately a focal point for some people to indulge in littering. The area around the bridge is often an unsightly mess of beer cans /boxes and old carrier bags, spoiling what is one of the best beauty spots in the whole village.

Walk 3 continues along mill road in a westerly direction towards Hornsea Road, passing (depending on the time of year) fields of Rape or wheat or the rich brown furrows of the ploughed fields.

The end of footpath for walk 3 is clearly marked near the village planter

Walks 3 & 4 end by walking Hornsea road into the village from the north, passing the Youth Club the old Methodist chapel and Carlton lane.
