Walk 5 is a relatively long walk, 6 KM, along footpaths leading to the South of the Village the walk provides some great opportunities to see some of the local wild life and runs along drains until it reaches the wild Bail Wood.
Leaving the Hotel via Wentworth Grove, to the left and almost opposite is Dothams Lane, a byway. Travelling south, you pass some well tended vegetable plots.
The tack looking back towards Aldbrough. The track at the start is heavily rutted and many of the ruts have water that only dries at the height of warm weather. (You could say summer if such a season still existed!)
The briar hedgerows give way to views over open countryside. Here you may spot Roe deer that are fairly common.
The end of Dothams provides two contrasting views. One of cows at Crossmere farm the other of the Southern Gas Storage plant. Which will one day be screened with trees & hedges.
